General Pump Company recently supplied 4 x Ultraflow UMGN2200/50/3 sewage grinder pumps and 2 x digital dual pump controllers for upgrade works at Wombeyan Caves National Park.
There were a number of different brands of sewage pumps on site and National Parks and Wildlife Services wanted to standardise with one brand. They were looking for a quality product that was within their budget. The park has many visitors all year round and, unfortunately, there are a lot of prohibited objects that are put down the toilets and RV unloading points which drain into the pumping stations. Reliability is critical for any sewage pumping station, but for NPWS, reliability is absolutely critical due to the environmental sensitivity of the pristine waters around the spectacular Wombeyan Caves area.
Ultraflow UMGN2200/50/3 sewage grinder pumps were selected because for more than 15 years, they have proven to be very robust, reliable, efficient and readily available. The Ultraflow grinder pumps have an excellent grinder mechanism and the 415 volt, 3 phase motors have high torque. The Ultraflow controllers have a number of excellent features including alarms, operating time logs, motor overload protection, earth leakage protection, anti-seize function, to name just a few.
The installers found that the Ultraflow sewage grinder pumps and the Ultraflow control panels were very easy to install and they appreciated the support that the team at General Pumps were able to provide throughout the whole process of selection, supply, installation and commissioning.
