In 1996 General Pumps was in search for a reliable, efficient, quality range of submersible pumps that would be true to the tradename, Ultraflow! This range of pumps had to have aa dual mechanical seal with silicon carbide faces to the lower seal, with an additional lip seal. The power cable entry and float switch cable entry had to have an epoxy filled, anti-wicking gland. All stainless steel fasteners, motor shafts, strainers was an absolute must! Following extensive research, analysis and product testing, General Pumps partnered with HCP Pump – Taiwan in 1996 and, almost 30 years later, HCP Pump is still manufacturing reliable, high quality Ultraflow submersible sump pumps to the stringent specifications and testing protocol of General Pumps.
All Ultraflow submersible sump pumps come standard with,
- Dual mechanical seal system installed in an oil bath, silicon carbide faces to the lower seal,
- 20m power cables with anti-wicking gland,
- Automatic pumps have a float switch fitted with an anti-wicking gland at both ends of the cable,
- Shafts & fasteners are all stainless steel
