‘We simply know pumps better’
At General Pump Company, we understand the critical importance of providing clean and safe water across various applications. Our advanced filtration and sterilisation systems are designed to meet the highest standards of purity and safety, ensuring reliable performance in every setting.
Filtration and sterilisation play a crucial role in water treatment processes, ensuring that water is free from contaminants, particles, and harmful microorganisms. These products are specifically designed to work in tandem with filtration and sterilisation systems, providing efficient and reliable performance in various applications.
Filters are designed to facilitate the movement of water through filtration systems, removing unwanted particles and impurities. They are used in a variety of applications, including:
Sterilisers are essential in processes where water must be free of harmful microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi. These products work to ensure water is safe for use in sensitive applications, including:
Selecting the appropriate filtration or sterilisation equipment is crucial for achieving optimal water treatment results. At General Pump Company, we offer a comprehensive range of filters & sterilisers designed to meet diverse requirements. Our experts can help you choose the right pump based on factors such as:
You may well ask if ultraviolet sterilisation needs a water filter to go with it? The answer is yes. Ultra-violet Sterilisation must be used in conjunction with a Water Filter.
The water filter acts to stop dirt, grit and sediment from getting into the UV chamber. If these materials get into the chamber they may cause a build-up on the quartz sleeve. What does this mean? This build up causes a barrier to the UV light potentially rendering the system ineffective. A 5 micron filter for sediment control is recommended (normally just one is needed) – you would only opt for a twin system (using a sediment and carbon combination) if you had taste and odour issues in the water, or concerns of chemicals in the water.
Our filtration systems are engineered to remove contaminants, particles, and impurities from water, providing you with the highest quality water for industrial, commercial, and residential use. We offer a range of filtration technologies tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients:
Mechanical Filtration: Utilizing physical barriers to remove suspended particles, sediments, and debris from water.
Chemical Filtration: Employing chemical processes to remove dissolved substances, such as chlorine, heavy metals, and organic compounds.
Biological Filtration: Leveraging natural or synthetic media to eliminate harmful bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms.
Our sterilisation solutions are designed to effectively eliminate pathogenic microorganisms, ensuring water safety and compliance with health regulations. We offer several cutting-edge sterilisation technologies:
Ultraviolet (UV) Sterilisation: Using UV light to disrupt the DNA of bacteria and viruses, rendering them harmless without the use of chemicals.
Ozone Sterilisation: Employing ozone gas to oxidize and destroy contaminants, providing a powerful and eco-friendly sterilisation method.
Chemical Sterilisation: Utilizing disinfectants such as chlorine and chloramine to kill harmful pathogens and prevent the spread of waterborne diseases.
Expertise and Experience: With years of experience in the industry, our team of experts delivers reliable and effective water treatment solutions.
Cutting-Edge Technology: We use the latest technologies and methods to ensure the highest standards of water purity and safety.
Customised Solutions: We tailor our systems to meet the specific needs and challenges of each client, providing optimal performance and efficiency.
Comprehensive Support: From consultation and design to installation and maintenance, we offer full support to ensure the success of your water treatment project.
