Pressure Switches
Pressure switches are typically used to maintain pressure in a tank (or similar closed system) between a pre-set upper and lower pressure value. Control pressure switches represent a special group within pressure switches. These devices are especially suitable for monitoring and controlling purposes.
Pressure Transducers
A pressure transducer converts pressure into an electrical signal. It works by using a sensing element (typically a diaphragm or strain gauge) that deforms when exposed to pressure. This deformation creates a measurable electrical signal that corresponds to the amount of pressure applied. A pressure transmitter is a more advanced version of a transducer, designed for long-distance transmission of the pressure signal.
Flow Switches
Flow switches are devices that monitor the flow of liquid through a system and control the operation of the pump based on whether flow is detected. They serve as safety and control mechanisms to ensure the pump operates correctly and efficiently. A Paddle Flow Switch is a type of flow switch that uses a mechanical paddle or vane to detect the flow of liquid through a pipe. When the fluid moves through the pipe, it pushes the paddle, causing the switch to activate or deactivate depending on the flow conditions. These switches are commonly used for monitoring and controlling the flow in liquid systems, ensuring pumps or other equipment operate only when there is flow. Inline Flow Switches are flow detection devices that are installed directly in the path of a fluid flow within a pipeline. These switches monitor the presence or absence of flow and trigger an action based on the flow rate, such as turning equipment on or off, or sending an alarm. Unlike paddle flow switches, which have a paddle protruding into the flow, inline flow switches typically feature the entire mechanism within the flow stream.
Float Level Switches
Float level switches are devices designed to detect and control liquid levels in tanks, wells, reservoirs, and other similar applications. They operate using a floating mechanism that moves up or down with changes in the liquid level. Once the float reaches a predetermined point, it triggers an electrical contact, allowing the system to activate or deactivate equipment based on the liquid’s height. Each pump switch features an adjustable pumping range and is available in various cord lengths to meet your application needs.
Level Transducers
Level transducers, also known as level sensors or transmitters, are devices used to measure and monitor the level of liquids, solids, or slurries in various types of containers, such as tanks, reservoirs, or silos. These sensors convert the measured level into an electrical signal that can be used for process control, monitoring, or automation. Level transducers detect the level of a substance and convert that information into an electrical signal. The signal is then transmitted to a monitoring system or control unit, allowing for precise control over processes like filling or emptying tanks.
